Reflexology

Foot Reflexology ChartOften confused with foot massage, Reflexology is a closer cousin to acupressure than it is to Swedish massage. A Reflexologist is someone with a minimum of 200 hours of Reflexology-only education that works exclusively on reflex maps found on the feet, hands, and ears. These maps mirror the human body and contain a reflex area for every organ, gland, part, and body system. Kreydin has received over 500 hours of Reflexology-only education and has been in private practice since 2004.

Throughout history we see that most cultures have utilized the feet and hands to effect the body and its health. Examples can be found in ancient Egypt, Japan, Tibet, India, China, and Central and Northern Americas. Modern Reflexology was rediscovered by physicians in Massachusetts and Florida and physical therapist, Eunice Ingham, developed the maps into a useable therapy that has been taught in every corner of the globe.

Reflexology has a cumulative effect on the body, session by session, reflex by reflex, gently nudging the body toward homeostasis. It is customary to receive an initial series of one-hour Reflexology sessions on a weekly basis. Once the body is at a higher level of functioning sessions can be maintained every 4 weeks. The initial visit will include a consultation, custom treatment plan, and a full Reflexology treatment.
